What is this site?
Cinema Read is a film review website; it was created to give one film fan a place to host his reviews and to voice his general opinions on everything from new releases to stuff that’s been out for decades.
Who writes for the site?
I am the only writer for the site, my name is Ross Miller and I am an aspiring film reviewer and general film fanatic. I have voiced my film opinions on the Internet for over 2 years now on numerous sites including my own personal one and also writing for the well known and respected online magazine Blog Critics.
What are your favourites films?
I have a vast and varied taste in everything from blockbusters to indie and art-house stuff. A selection of my favourites films include Pulp Fiction, Donnie Darko, Fight Club, Oldboy, Psycho, Rear Window, The Big Lebowski, 12 Angry Men and 2001: A Space Odyssey (to name but a few).
What does the site provide?
The site is primarily just film reviews with the occasional top 10 list thrown in every now and then. It’s just a place to voice my opinion even further.
What sort of rating system do you use?
I use a 5-star rating system which includes .5 ratings. The lowest possible rating a film can get is 0.5 and the highest is quite obviously 5, the two maximums only being given out in extreme and rare cases.
Why are a lot of the reviews dated very close to each other?
When the site was created I transfered all of my reviews from my other website Movie World one after the other, therefore they appear as posted very close to each other.
